This simple BBQ sauce is versatile enough to be a dipping sauce or used to coat chicken wings and pulled pork. The Barrel Aged Honey gives a punch of whiskey flavor that compliments the sweetness of the sauce.
1 ½ cups ketchup
¼ cup Bee Local Barrel Aged Honey
2 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated
¼ cup cider vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp sweet or hot paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dry mustard powder
Pinch of cayenne
Dash of hot sauce plus more to taste
Combine ingredients in a medium pot. Simmer over medium-low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce has deepened in color. Season with more hot sauce if you like.
