Ever have one of those moments when you don’t know whether you need a cup of coffee or a stiff drink? Me too, and more often than I care to admit. To cope with my indecisiveness I whipped up a cocktail that straddles both sides of my cravings and gives both the perk of caffeine and the post-work slouch of a boozy indulgence. Plus, with Jacobsen Co. Salty Caramel Sauce, this little cocktail transforms into a triple threat, also satisfying a dessert-thirsty sweet tooth.

Makes 1 cocktail
INGREDIENTS
- 1oz Jacobsen Co. Salty Caramel Sauce (plus more to garnish)
- 4oz chilled coffee or cold brew
- 2oz Irish Whiskey
- Dollop of whipped cream
- Pinch of Jacobsen Salt Co. Stumptown Hair Bender Salt or Jacobsen Salt Co. Uncle Nearest 1856 Whiskey Salt (for garnish)
PROCESS
First whisk the Salty Caramel Sauce with ½ oz boiling water until the sauce pours like a simple syrup. In a mixing glass (or pint glass if you don’t have one) swizzle your coffee with whiskey and caramel sauce until completely integrated. Pour into a snifter and top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce and a pinch of coffee salt or whiskey salt (whichever you are using) and serve immediately.
