Digital Content Marketing Coordinator

 We are looking for a full-time content marketer and storyteller to bring the Jacobsen Salt Co. brand to life across digital! Successful candidate will be someone that can fully embrace Jacobsen’s brand voice and create brand consistency across our social channels, website, email marketing, and more. You’ll oversee the day-to-day execution of all digital strategies across social media, email and web, working alongside the Marketing Manager to develop compelling content that supports our marketing objectives and growth goals. A curiosity and strong understanding of social media, email marketing, and digital storytelling is required. We’re looking for someone with a unique point of view, approach and willingness to “own” this position, so strong project management skills, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and a passion for design, branding, storytelling, and consumer insights are imperative. This is a primarily remote position based in Portland, Oregon. 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage all aspects of our social media channels (content creation, execution and engagement, community management/customer service, and reporting) with an emphasis on Instagram, Instagram Stories and Facebook
  • Help define, recommend and implement strategies to increase overall engagement on social and conversion to sales/website traffic
  • Oversee email marketing campaign execution, including but not limited to creating and sending out weekly emails
  • Analyze email performance, manage subscriber lists, and make recommendations for constant improvement 
  • Develop monthly content calendar that informs JSC website, email and social
  • Oversee and create content, product, and other as-needed updates on JSC website
  • Bring an editor’s eye to content development, always looking for fresh approaches to promote our brand, products, tell our story and more. 
  • Contribute to annual and quarterly strategic content strategy and planning with Marketing Manager and agency partner
  • Test and track content performance, make recommendations, and implement course corrections 
  • Help identify partnership opportunities 
  • Manage sample and PR requests 
  • Stay on top of trends and generate a strong understanding of our audience channels
  • Coordinate and co-manage monthly photoshoots 
  • Maintain brand standards at all times

What We're Looking For: 

  • Social media marketing experience 
  • Email marketing experience (preference to Mailchimp and/or Klaviyo)
  • Content creation and content calendar management experience 
  • Experience with eCommerce (i.e. Shopify) or other CMS platforms (Wordpress, Squarespace)
  • An eye for design, design skills
  • Passion for branding and storytelling 
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience working with partner agencies
  • Project management experience

  • Working or solid understanding/experience with Adobe CS 
  • Photography skills a plus

Position reports to:

  • $40k-$45k DOE


  • 3-4 years minimum relative experience
  • High school degree or equivalent
