Make movie night a bit more deluxe with flavorful White Truffle Salt. Chef Chris DiMinno of Trifecta recommends tossing popcorn with olive oil, parmesan, cracked pepper and truffle salt for an unbeatable snack.
Makes about 4-5 cups popcorn
2 tablespoons high heat cooking oil
1/3 cup popcorn
1 tablespoon truffle oil or olive oil
Cracked black pepper, to taste
1/4 teaspoon Infused White Truffle Salt
3 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese
Place a heavy-bottom large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add neutral cooking oil and allow to heat for about a minute. Add popcorn kernels and cover pan. Listen carefully for popping, shaking pan slightly to rotate kernels. Once popping slows, remove from heat and transfer popcorn to a large bowl. Be careful to avoid steam when removing lid.
Drizzle popcorn with truffle or olive oil and toss. Add cracked pepper and truffle salt to taste, tossing once more. Finally, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
